Alaska Grizzly Bear Hunts

Our hunts take place in the Talkeetna Mountains.

The Talkeetna “Grizzly” base camp is a cabin which is above the tree line. We have home-cooked meals along with hot showers. Sometimes, we may spike out, but usually just for one night at a time.

Our hunts are ten days. This gives us an advantage of time. Weather can be very unpredictable, from pouring rain, heavy fog, and snow to, yes, even sunshine. Whatever it is, we are in it.

These bears are the best in colors of all bears. There are several different phases. They come in silver tip, dark brown-blonde, and blonde with dark brown boots and an orange strip down their backs. Some are just gold.

Make sure you’re in good physical condition. You should plan on hiking to get to glassing areas and carrying your daypack as we go. This is a pure spot and stalk-style hunt.

We are firm believers that these bears have something that clicks in their minds when they see you; they either run away from you or run right at you, so be ready….

We do offer packers to help lighten the load.

A professional videographer/photographer is available upon request.

See the “Hunt Info” page for additional info.
